More Than Just a Sports Centre, It’s a Legacy
Established in 1993, the Regional Sports Centre (RSC) in Cochin has grown into one of World's most active and sophisticated sports centres. Spread over 4 acres of land in the heart of the city, RSC is home to world-class facilities across 35 disciplines of sports & games and hosts 20 round-the-year academies led by experienced coaches. RSC is the only sports centre in India certified with ISO 9001:2015 for both 'Sports & Games Training Facilities' and 'Physical Fitness Centre' by Quality Research Organization, United Kingdom. With the theme "Sports for Health, Recreation & Competition", RSC balances competitive training and member use, promoting both champions and healthy citizens. Built under a pioneering Public-Private Participation (PPP) model in 1986, long before national PPP policies were introduced, RSC was developed and maintained entirely with membership fees and corporate sponsorships, without financial burden to the government. RSC remains a shining example of how community-driven sports infrastructure can thrive and inspire.
